The "Policy Entrepreneur Platform (PEP)" operated by the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, International House of Japan, a network partner of UPDATE EARTH, is launching the "PEP for Climate Tech Startup Studio" program. This program is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs aiming to create startups in the Climate Tech sector. Participants will select a field from a list of business domains provided by PEP and develop business ideas based on their chosen field. The program offers support for proposing fields to challenge, conducting initial research, providing regular consultations and feedback, and helping participants create business ideas suitable for initial fundraising.
Currently, applications are open for participants in the EIR Course (Phase 2), which will start in February 2025. This course will provide selected participants with up to ¥500,000 per month for a maximum of 10 months, enabling them to focus on startup preparation. (This course is temporarily available with funding from Tokyo Metropolitan Government.)
