The Musashi-Koyama Startup Support Center, a network partner of UPDATE EARTH in Shinagawa Ward, will host the final screening of its business plan contest for female entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs on February 23, 2025. The contest, held under the name 14th Women’s Business Grand Prix 2025 in Shinagawa, is currently accepting entries until November 23, 2024.

The contest seeks business plans that meet criteria such as whether the plan provides solutions that make people think, “This is what we need in our lives,” whether it is capable of generating sustainable revenue, and whether it leverages local characteristics. The final screening will take place at the Gotanda City and Gallery, an industrial and cultural facility in Shinagawa Ward. The Grand Prix winner will receive a cash prize of ¥300,000.

Last year, eight finalists gave presentations, and the Grand Prix was awarded to MamaWell, led by CEO Mari Kami, for its support services enhancing maternal and child health through the use of personal midwives and health data.

Expectations are high again this year for innovative business plans with a unique perspective on solving challenges faced by women.
