This project will conduct entrepreneurship training courses for children, students (elementary, junior high, high school and university), and adults throughout Japan to broaden their horizons for entrepreneurship, and will also collaborate with various innovation awards and business contests to collect business ideas from all over Japan and discover entrepreneurs to be supported. We will also collaborate with various innovation awards and business contests to gather a large number of business ideas from across the country and identify entrepreneurs for support. The program supports the commercialization of business plans of startups and entrepreneurs (including pre-commercial entrepreneurs) selected from the discovery activities, as well as their business expansion with a view to overseas business development.
Until now, the nurturing, discovery, and growth support of entrepreneurs has been carried out individually by various institutions and organizations. This project is a challenging initiative that on a nationwide scale and in a single integrated manner. We have named the project “UPDATE EARTH” with the aim of creating companies from Japan that will take the world by storm and transform society for the better.

UPDATE EARTH
Competition
The UPDATE EARTH Competition is the largest business contest in Japan, open to a wide range of participants, from students to entrepreneurs, regardless of age or business status. It consists of two categories: the NIPPON INNOVATION AWARD and the NIPPON INNOVATION TRYOUT. The competition aims to discover and nurture new talent in innovation while increasing opportunities for various players and companies to connect. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the visibility and development of entrepreneurs through public recognition and PR opportunities, ultimately fostering the creation of groundbreaking business ideas.
One of the Largest Business Contests in Japan
We will hold one of the largest business contests in Japan in terms of number of participants, prize money, and number of divisions.
We are planning a grand prize of up to 10 million yen and investment prizes of up to 100 million yen!
In addition to the grand prize money and investment prizes, we support the creation of entrepreneurial and business development opportunities, as well as market expansion!
Innovators Networking
We will provide unprecedented matching opportunities for innovators, supporters, investors, and large companies that are expected to play an active role in the future.
UPDATE EARTH will hold entrepreneurship training courses at educational institutions across the country, mainly universities. More details to come!
