The Osaka Industrial Bureau, a network partner of UPDATE EARTH, has been running the "HeCNOS AWARD" program to support startups focused on developing and implementing products and services in the fields of carbon neutrality and healthcare. The award events took place in September 2023 and July 2024.

The carbon neutrality category targets startups offering products and services related to energy, transportation, manufacturing, and home or office solutions, utilizing the latest technologies. In the two rounds of the award, 15 companies were recognized, including one developing autonomous navigation technology for small vessels and another creating a device that produces hydrogen from waste to combat global warming.

The award-winning companies in the carbon neutrality field will showcase their technologies and products at the "Carbon Neutral Treasure Hunt – Technologies Supporting a Convenient Future" event, which will be held from July 1 to 7 at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, "Reborn Challenge." These companies will compete by presenting their innovative solutions for the future.
