The University of Tokyo IPC (UTokyo IPC) is an investment management company wholly funded by the University of Tokyo. It drives the expansion of the university's innovation ecosystem through three core initiatives: investment, entrepreneurship support, and the DEEPTECH DIVE program.
Investment Activities UTokyo IPC operates three funds:
- Kyoso No. 1 Fund: Aims to foster startups connected to the University of Tokyo.
- AOI No. 1 Fund: Provides a broad range of investments, from tens of millions to up to 2 billion yen, targeting ventures in areas requiring significant funding, such as environment and energy.
- ASA Fund: Invests in university VC funds to uncover promising technologies and support global expansion.
Entrepreneurship Support
The 1st Round program offers selected teams funding, expert guidance, and access to office and lab facilities to help them secure initial investments under optimal conditions.
DEEPTECH DIVE
This exclusive recruitment platform connects tech-focused startups with professionals, students, and researchers, fostering mutual exchange and collaboration.
